Dr. Erik Rupard earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Maryland. He then completed an internal medicine residency and a hematology-oncology fellowship at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. Dr. Rupard is an assistant professor at Drexel University College of Medicine in Reading, Pennsylvania. He has served as Chief of the Hematology-Oncology Service at Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Georgia. In 2011, he was honorably discharged from the United States Army, and is a combat veteran (Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he led the 81st Troop Medical Clinic insuring the Iraq surge). Prior to joining Intermountain Healthcare, Dr. Rupard served for ten years as Chief of Hematology/Oncology at the McGlinn Cancer Institute in Reading, Pennsylvania. Dr. Rupard is board-certified in internal medicine, hematology, and oncology, and has served as the principal investigator for a variety of clinical trials.
