Get To Know Your Provider

Dr. Greg Staker is a third-generation physician, who learned from his father that “good doctors aren’t always right at first, but don’t quit until they are.” He wanted to be both a pediatrician – because pediatricians are nice people, and an internal medicine provider – because internal medicine is rigorous and challenging. He says he works with great people and loves serving patients and families who are truly grateful for his help.

Dr. Staker is married to Dr. Shannon Staker. They knew each other in high school and got married while attending Brigham Young University. Dr. Staker has a wonderful family of six talented daughters. Dr. Staker says he spends his free time hiding on Saturdays, serving his church on Sundays and he runs, bikes and swims for his sanity. He loves to go backpacking with his kids and going anywhere with his wife (Costa Rica was a favorite destination).

Dr. Staker came to the Uintah Basin wanting to make a difference in a community. He feels that his family has made great friends and they love the people the work and live with. He provides care to patients of all ages, and specializes in internal medicine and pediatrics. It is not unusual to see patients from 7 days to 70 years old in his waiting room, and he enjoys the time he spends with all of them!
