Shakaib Qureshi, MD comes to Uintah Basin Healthcare from the Christiana Care Health System in Delaware – the largest tertiary care teaching hospital system in the state of Delaware, where he served Chief Section of Rheumatology (2005-2018) and Consultant Rheumatologist (2005-2019).

Serving as Lead Physician from 2015-18 for the Department of Rheumatology for the Christiana Care Medical Group, he helped the hospital and medical group create and deploy the strategic plan to transform a primary and specialty care delivery model. He collaborated with other leaders and administrative partners to help institute a population health management model to enhance patient access, service and quality of care while managing outcomes through evidence-based metrics.

Dr. Qureshi served as President of the Delaware Rheumatology Society, as well as a variety of positions in the Christiana Medical System including Member of Executive Committee, Member of Credentialing Committee for the section of Rheumatology, Member of the Committee for DEXA Scan, and Educational Coordinator for Rheumatology for the Department of Internal Medicine from 2005-2019.
